So if your desktop is “active” (which we detect by keeping track of when your last desktop activity was, like sending/reading messages), then we will delay showing notifications, because presumably you’re seeing them on desktop. We’ll keep track of those delayed notifications, and if we don’t see any linked device activity, then we’ll show them later. To me, the bug here is that you read the message on desktop and you got a notification at all on android. We’ll take a look!
